Simple Preventing Sciatica Methods

By Hunter March 30, 2017 Uncategorized

Sometimes dealing with Sciatic Nerve pain can make you feel like your life is on hold. If you're dealing with this then you are probably looking for preventing sciatica methods.

The distress and restricted movement can keep you from your job, spending time with the ones you love, or even something as simple as walking your dog.

Surgery might be the first thing you think of when dealing with Sciatica, the truth is that there are many different options available. In fact, most Sciatica patients are able to find relief through many traditional treatment options.

Preventing Sciatica Methods, Sciatica Symptoms keeping me awake

The most commonly recommended Sciatica Treatments include:

Using Heat pads or Ice Packs is a great way to reduce inflammation and swelling and relaxing muscles for a peaceful sensation!

I recommend applying an Ice Pack for 20 minutes then removing for 20 minutes and the repeating for an hour or two.

When using a Heat Pad I strongly advise you to go through the Ice Treatment first, and then after your back is back to room temperature apply the heat pad to soothe your pain away!

For the best results when using a Heat pad, I use the UTK Far-Infrared Heat Therapy Pad. It can cover your whole back, or be wrapped around any body part for maximum pain relief.

Medication either from the doctor or over-the-counter will help relieve pain in the sciatic nerve. Although this is a quick fix, it may lead to a dependency. For example, I took ibuprofen 5-8 pills a day for months treating pain like me would sure lead to a bigger problem.

For a natural pain medication, you should try Defense Anti-Inflammatory supplement. I replaced 5-8 ibuprofen with two supplements with 5x the relief! Read my review here:

==> Defense Natural Anti-Inflammatory Supplement <==

Taking time to stretch is a great way to reduce pain when you're doing normal daily activities. I recommend stretching for about 20 minutes everyday when you wake up and 20 minutes every night before you go to bed.

Improving your posture will do wonders for your sciatica pain. Practicing proper posture techniques will realign your back which - over time - will improve your overall sciatica pain.

Rest is important for allowing your body to naturally repair itself. With that said, too much rest will create improper back formation which will lead to more serious problems with sciatic nerve damage. Reducing your resting time will help because instead of laying down all the time you will be able to utilize the simple sciatica prevention methods.

Eating right will help your body in many ways. A Healthy diet will equip your body with the nutrients necessary for battling sciatica pain. Another Health tip would be to Quit Smoking. Smoking is actually a huge reason why the sciatic nerve isn't repairing itself naturally.

Who doesn't enjoy a nice massage? Getting a deep tissue massage or acupuncture is a proven way to reduce pain in the sciatic nerve. However, going to a specialist can become expensive.

Using a TENS Unit is a great way to get a deep tissue massage at home whenever you want for a much lower price. Read my review here:

==> TENS Unit do-it-yourself massage at home <==

Herbal remedies are a natural source for sciatica pain relief. I enjoy using topical treatments made with 100% natural ingredients. My favorite is the Feel Good Lab Topical treatment. Similar to Biofreeze and Icy-Hot but works 10x better! Read my review here:

Preventing Sciatica Methods

Sciatica Prevention can be difficult, but staying in shape will help the body cope with symptoms related to Sciatica. In fact, the result of not staying in shape will actually produce more pain and discomfort. Some simple prevention methods I use are as followed:

  • Walking
  • Jogging
  • Swimming
  • Weight training
  • Stretching / Yoga
  • Calisthenics
  • Pilates

When trying to perform these activities - do you find it to be too hard due to the inflammation on the sciatic nerve?

I recommend getting a free sample of Defense the Natural anti-inflammation supplement. I substituted ibuprofen with defense and I was able to do all of these without the pain!

How to Treat Sciatica Pain Fast!

By Hunter March 29, 2017 Uncategorized

How to Treat Sciatica

Living with sciatica is a pain in the butt (literally). If you're living in pain due to sciatic nerve damage, then you're in the right place to find out How to Treat Sciatica!

The first thing you'll find if you're searching "How to Treat Sciatica" is by taking OTC medications; like Advil or Ibuprofen, however, what they won't tell you is that for these medications to continue to work, you need to take them every couple of hours.

OTC Medication

Like Advil or Ibuprofen, are a quick source for brief pain relief. However, what they won't tell you is that for these medications to continue to work, you need to take them every couple of hours. I Would take up to  6-8 pills just to get through the day, and this creates a whole new problem in itself!

What I recommend is an Anti-Inflammatory supplement that is completely natural and will do everything that Advil or Ibuprofen does plus more, but in one dosage is just as good as taking 5 dosages a day!

Read my review on Defense Anti-inflammatory supplement!

Massage and Acupuncture

Getting a massage or getting an acupuncture treatment is a great way on how to treat sciatica. However, it can get expensive. What I recommend is getting a TENS Unit which is an electronic stimulation machine that will simulate a massage/acupuncture and it feels amazing!

See a few of my favorite TENS Units here!

Heat Therapy

Sciatica Heat therapy is a good solution for soothing and relaxing your back muscles, however, too much heat will actually cause more damage. Heat can actually cause inflammation - which is what we want to prevent - but if you're back isn't inflamed than using a heating pad like the UTK Far-Infrared Heating pad (My Favorite) will help your sciatica pain disappear!

More Information on the UTK Far-Infrared Heat Therapy Pad For Sciatica, Click Here

Topical Treatments

Topical treatments are also a good solution if you need a quick remedy when you're at work. I use the Feel Good Lab which is similar to Biofreeze and Icy Hot but in my experience has worked 10x faster and better!

How to Avoid Sciatic Nerve Pain While Walking

By Hunter March 7, 2017 Uncategorized

How to Avoid Sciatic Nerve Pain While Walking

Knowing how to Avoid Sciatic Nerve Pain While Walking can help 100% – Walking correctly can relieve your sciatic pain by spurring the release of pain-fighting endorphins and reducing inflammation. On the other hand, having poor walking form may aggravate your sciatica symptoms.

Sciatic Nerve Relief, Best Sciatica Treatment, Avoid Sciatic Nerve Pain While Walking

  1. Shorten your stride to protect your sciatic nerve
  • Long strides can irritate your sciatic nerve by compressing your lumbar discs.
  • Follow these pointers to shorten your steps:
  • Don’t reach with your toes, land between your midfoot and heel, then gently roll onto your toes and push off into the next stride. This will naturally shorten your strides because it’s difficult to roll your foot when it’s far from your body.
  • Slow down. A slower pace typically means shorter steps. You should be able to comfortably hold a conversation while walking.
  1. Engage your core muscles to support your spine
  • Actively engaging your abdominal muscles protects your sciatic nerve roots by minimizing pressure on your spine.
  • Here’s how to use your abdominal muscles:
  • Stand upright. Keep your head and shoulders tall and focus on a spot in the distance.
  • Suck in your stomach. Pull your stomach slightly toward your body for the duration of your walk. Take deep breaths and keep a comfortable pace, otherwise you’ll find it challenging to engage your abdominal muscles for your entire walk.

Stretching Before to Avoid Sciatic Nerve Pain While Walking

Prior to exercise walking, gentle stretching should be done to prepare the joints and muscles for the increased range of motion needed. It is important to take an easy five-minute walk to warm up the muscles before stretching so they’re not completely cold when stretching.

Discuss with a healthcare practitioner the best way to do stretches, and be sure to include the neck, arms, hips, upper and lower leg muscles (including the hamstring muscles in the back of the thigh), and ankles.

Techniques for Exercise to Avoid Sciatic Nerve Pain While Walking

Using the following techniques will help improve the benefits of walking:

  1. Walk briskly, but as a general rule maintain enough breath to be able to carry on a conversation.
  2. Start out with a 5-minute walk and work up to walking for at least 30 minutes (roughly 2 miles) at least 3 to 4 times a week.
  3. Maintain good form while walking to get the optimum aerobic benefit with each step and help protect the back and avoid injury.

These elements of form should be followed:

  1. Head and shoulders: Keep the head up and centered between the shoulders, with eyes focused straight ahead to the horizon. Keep the shoulders relaxed but straight – avoid slouching forward.
  2. Abdominal muscles: It is important to actively use the abdominal muscles to help support the trunk of the body and the spine. To do this, keep the stomach pulled in slightly and stand fully upright. Avoid leaning forward as you walk.
  3. Hips: The majority of the forward motion should start with the hips. Each stride should feel natural – not too long or too short. Most people make the mistake of trying to take too long of stride.
  4. Arms and hands: Arms should stay close to the body, with elbows bent at a 90 degree angle. While walking, the arms should keep in motion, swinging front to back in pace with the stride of the opposite leg. Remember to keep hands relaxed, lightly cupped with the palms inward and thumbs on top. Avoid clenching the hands or making tight fists.
  5. Feet: With each step, land gently on the heel and midfoot, rolling smoothly to push off with the toes. Be mindful about using the balls of the feet and toes to push forward with each step.

Using a Treadmill for Exercise Walking

When using a treadmill for walking exercise, all of the above guidelines are still important, with the additional caution to avoid using the handrails as much as possible (unless they are needed to keep balanced).

Need Sleep Sciatic Nerve Pain Relief?

By Hunter February 28, 2017 Uncategorized

Sleep Sciatic Nerve Pain Relief

Sleep sciatic nerve pain relief was a huge issue for me. I mean, We all need to sleep, right? But it’s kind of hard when you feel like your back is on fire!

Here are a few tips I picked up to make falling asleep a little easier each night.

Enjoy a bath before bed

I Know what you’re thinking, a bath sounds cheesy, but a warm bath can encourage your body to release endorphins by relaxing the muscles around your sciatic nerve roots. The temperature of the water should be warm – not too hot – not too cold. Hot water will make it difficult to fall asleep by raising your body temperature, and a cold bath just sounds terrible.

If a bath doesn’t sound appealing to you, I would suggest a heat therapy pad like UTK far-infrared heat therapy pad, to help you relax your sciatic nerve pain.

==> See my review of the UTK Far-Infrared Heat Therapy Pad [wow-icons lib=pf name=pf-amazon size=”sm” align=”alignright”]

Elevate your knees

The sciatic nerve flares up when one of the 5 roots in your lower back is compressed or irritated. Sleeping with elevated knees will minimize the pressure from your lumbar discs placed on your roots.

Sciatic Nerve Pain Relief When Sleeping, Sleep Sciatic Nerve Pain Relief

To do this you need to:

  • lie flat on your back
  • Keep your heels and butt in contact with the bed
  • Bend your knees slightly towards the ceiling

Use a pillow or something between your legs to support your knees.

(Find Nerve Pain Pillows on Amazon)

Try the floor

If whatever you’re doing isn’t working, why continue doing it? I asked myself this question several times before I actually took action, but once I did I couldn’t believe how good it felt!

Lay down a blanket, yoga mat, or a large towel (if you have one). You might find that sleeping on a firm surface alleviates your sciatic nerve pain.

If this is the cause you might want to try purchasing a firm mattress or even try removing the box spring from under your bed!

Don’t give up after one night—you may struggle to adjust to the firmness of the ground. Give it a week, and if your symptoms remain unchanged—or you still can’t sleep because you miss your mattress—retire your yoga mat or towel.

Cure Severe Lower Back Pain | Sciatic Nerve Acupuncture

Cure Severe Lower Back Pain | Sciatic Nerve Acupuncture

There are few things in this world that are more painful than sciatic nerve problems. If you have ever struggled with back pain, then you know all about this. Sciatic Nerve Acupuncture might be the best solution.

There are typical types of back pain, and then there’s back pain that reaches a whole other level of hurt. That next level is a problem with your sciatic nerve. This nerve starts in your back and it can run all the way down into your leg.

When these problems arise, you need to get in touch with a sciatic treatment plan that can relieve the pain. The question is, “What is this treatment and how can I get it sooner rather that later?”

Sciatic Nerve Acupuncture works well in most cases.

sciatica acupuncture, sciatica back pain, sciatic nerve pain, Sciatic Nerve Acupuncture

There is one sciatic nerve treatment in particular that can cure the terrible nerve pain in nine out of every ten people. That is acupuncture therapy and more people are using it to relieve issues with their sciatic nerve.

The biggest issue with this type of pain is that your back is putting undue pressure on your nerves. Acupuncture therapy takes the pressure away from this portion of your back and from the rest of it, as well. It can relieve the pain almost immediately and give you a better chance to avoid problems in the future.

Sciatic Nerve Acupuncture is a pretty creative solution

and there are other solutions to go along with it. One of those is ice therapy. This is a sciatic nerve treatment that’s much easier to pull off and doesn’t require nearly as much effort.

Some people think that heat therapy through heating pads will help, but the opposite is actually true. Heat makes the inflammation of the nerve much worse and it creates prolonged pain. When you have an inflamed nerve, your first goal has to be relieving that inflammation.

For those interested in a heat treatment that won’t cause inflammation: I recommend you read my review on UTK Far-Infrared Heat Therapy Pad here!

Ice therapy with a constant application will give immediate relief from this condition. It will give you more mobility and take away the tremendous pain that can sometimes go along with a sciatic condition.

These two ideas offer very different solutions. One is easy to execute, while the other takes a little bit more time and energy. Whatever the case, these things can relieve nerve pain in 90% of sufferers. That is a tremendous percentage of people who are getting rid of their pain.

Best Sciatic Nerve Damage Remedies, Sciatic Nerve, Sciatic Nerve pain relief, sciatic nerve relief, Remedies For Sciatic Nerve Damage, Sciatic Nerve Damage Remedies

First of all, I've been searching for the best Sciatic Nerve Damage Remedies for years. Mainly because my sciatica is the pain was in the lower back and gluteus (talk about a pain in the ass) that often radiates down the legs, traveling as far as the feet. With that said, everything from sitting down to walking felt it was going to be the death of me.

This radiating of pain below the knee is what differentiates sciatica from back pain. Sciatica is so called because it is caused by compression or injury of the sciatic nerve.

Sciatica is synonymous with sciatic nerve pain. It can range from dull to sharp with accompanying sensations of tingling, numbness, or burning. Sciatic pain can also be continuous or intermittent. The Best Sciatic Nerve Damage Remedies are aimed at eliminating the pain.

Doctors agree that massage as a form of physical therapy is a fast and effective sciatic nerve cure. Massage has led to a new sciatic treatment known as spinal decompression.

The traction machine uses computerized motors. They apply force to the spine that decompresses the spinal discs. The negative pressure created in the discs pulls herniated discs away from the sciatic nerve. Meanwhile, blood flow and nutrient availability to the area increase.

With the new computerized spinal decompression systems, pain during sciatic treatment is a thing of the past. Computers adjust the motors with each response of the body.

The success of spinal decompression hovers between the 80 to 90 percent range.

Talk to your doctor or chiropractor about spinal decompression today.

Follow These Golden Rules for Severe Sciatica Lower Back Pain

By Hunter February 20, 2017 Sciatic Treatments

Severe Sciatica Lower Back Pain Symptoms

Severe Sciatica Lower Back Pain, Sciatica and Hip Pain, Sciatica Back Pain, Sciatic Nerve, Sciatic Nerve Pain, Sciatic Nerve Relief, Lower Back,Severe Sciatica Lower Back Pain occurs when the group of nerves in the lower back that makes up the sciatic nerve are compressed or otherwise irritated.

As a result, patients can experience severe lower back pain or a numbness or feel a tingling sensation in the legs.

For some people, without managing sciatic nerve damage, the pain can become completely debilitating.

Three Golden Rules For Severe Sciatica Lower Back Pain

Get a second opinion if you’re told you need surgery. In most cases, sciatic treatment is non-surgical. If a doctor tells you that you definitely need surgery for your sciatic pain, be sure to get a second opinion first.

Make sure you exhaust other treatment options before you have a costly and potentially dangerous surgery. Every surgery that involves the nerves of the spine has the potential to do serious long term harm.

Try These Remedies for Severe Sciatica Lower Back Pain

  1. Sciatica Anti-inflammatory drugs
  2. Topical Treatments
  3. Heat Treatments
  4.  Ice Treatments

At the beginning of managing severe sciatica lower back pain, use ice. After a few days, switch from ice to heat. A simple heating pad, like the “UTK Far-Infrared Therapy Heat Pad,” can help to loosen tight muscles around the back. Heat can be applied for 15 – 20 minutes for minor back tension, or as long as two hours at a time for serious back problems.

Click here to see my review on the “UTK Far-Infrared Therapy Heat Pad.”

And for the times when you’re not able to use the ice to heat method, I recommend getting a topical treatment for pain relief. My favorite one is “The Feel Good Lab.”

Check out my review on “The Feel Good Lab.”

Another idea is to invest in an amazing Anti-Inflammatory supplement like, “Defense.” I use this just about every day and the sciatica pain has almost vanished!

Check out my review on “Defense.”

Need sciatic nerve relief? Here are some Sciatic Nerve Pain Remedies

By Hunter February 20, 2017 Sciatica

Sciatic Nerve Pain Remedies

Anyone familiar with sciatic pain knows how disabling it is, and how difficult it can be to find Sciatic Nerve Pain Remedies.

The burning, the numbness, the pins-and-needles sensations, and the weakness can be treated with one of The burning, the numbness, the pins-and-needles sensations, and the weakness can be treated with one of several medical interventions.

But is there anything else you can do at home? If you need some relief right now, consider a few sciatica treatments you can implement yourself.

Proper use both of ice and heat can be effective. Ice to the site of pain helps if you apply it within two days of the onset. Later in treatment, compressing a heating pad on the tight lower back muscles will relieve strain.

Check out my favorite heating pad review on:

Sciatica Stretching is a very good way to reduce symptoms.

Stretches are also an effective sciatic nerve pain remedies. Lying on one’s back and rolling the trunk muscles toward the unaffected side stretches the muscle. Placing a tennis ball just under the tight muscle and bearing weight for about sixty seconds also releases the contracting piriformis.

Spasticity of the prominent muscle of the buttocks and the piriformis muscle can irritate the sciatic nerve.

Coping well with sciatica and hip pain from home requires attention to body positioning. In some cases it is much more painful to remain seated than it is to stand. If a particular posture causes excess pain, limit that activity.

At the same time, do not rely completely upon the comfort of a chair or a bed. Use pillows to support your hips and lower back if necessary.

Good severe lower back pain and hip pain treatment also include moving about.

Less-active muscles tighten and become more difficult to use. In fact, being immobile will only exacerbate your pain. Be sure to limit the amount of time you spend lying in bed. Slow your pace, but do not stop.
